SCORENigeria can exclusively report that oil-rich Angola are now offering to double the salary coach Eric Chelle receives with the Super Eagles.
Eric Chelle is on $50,000 a month and has a year left on his contract with the NFF.
His camp have insisted that total focus is on tomorrow’s AFCON semifinal against hosts Morocco in Rabat as he is now just a game away from meeting up the target set for him by the Nigerian federation.
However, Angola are one of several countries who are interested in hiring Eric Chelle after the great work he has achieved with Nigeria at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
Nigeria under the former Mali coach have not suffered a hangover of not qualifying for the World Cup as they have marched on in style into the semifinals of the AFCON.
Angola, on the other hand, failed to go past the group stage of the competition after were stopped by the Super Eagles at the quarterfinal of the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire two years ago.
Portuguese coach Pedro Goncalves has fallen out of favour in Angola on the back of this disappointment with critics also weighing in on the fact that he does not stay in the Southern African country.
