Spanish La Liga club Valencia CF have announced the signing of Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar.
Valencia said they have reached an agreement with Real Sociedad on the transfer of the 28-year-old striker, who has signed a contract until June 2028.
Last season, the striker played on loan at Valencia, where he scored six goals in 19 appearances.
“His physical presence, aerial dominance, and ability to create danger both from long balls and combination play earned him—along with his charisma—the affection of the Valencia fanbase very quickly,” read part of the official statement by Valencia.
“During this period, he was also awarded the LALIGA EA SPORTS Goal of the Month for March for his backheel goal against CA Osasuna.
“The arrival of the 28-year-old striker, who has extensive experience across different leagues and has proven his ability to perform at a high level in a Valencia CF shirt, will add greater versatility, resources, and competitiveness to the team’s attacking line under head coach Carlos Corberán.”
