Major League Soccer (MLS) club Colorado Rapids have said they are excited to sign midfielder Hamzat Ojediran from French Ligue 1 side RC Lens.
The 22-year-old Ojediran has signed a contract that keeps him at Colorado Rapids until the 2028/29 MLS season with options through 2030/31.
“We’re excited to bring a player of Hamzat’s caliber into our group,” said Colorado Rapids president Padrag Smith.
“He brings outstanding physical presence, defensive discipline and explosiveness to our midfield.
“He’s an ideal for for Matt’s (Wells, head coach) system and is motivated and hungry to continue his own development and contribute to our success.”
Wells was assistant coach at Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
Former Golden Eaglets star Ojediran scored one in 17 appearances for Lens and has previously played in Albania and Hungary.
