Bouyed by his first goal for Club Brugge, Kaye Furo, the son of former Super Eagles defender Furo Iyenemi, has said the top Belgian team will be up for the battle against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League.
Furo, 18, scored for Club Brugge against STVV in a 3-2 defeat Saturday.
However, the young striker expressed confidence that Club Brugge will rise to the occasion when they welcome Premier League leaders Arsenal Wednesday in continuation of the Champions League.
“I believe that with this team, we can put up a fight against any team, including Arsenal,” Furo told HLN.
“We really felt we could win this match (vs STVV), especially with the energy we showed in the second half.
“I feel like we’re in a good position as a team. We’re giving 100% in every match.”
