Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has been commended by his employers for bringing several young players to the team.
A communique by the NFF technical committee after its meeting with the Super Eagles coach said in part that Eric Chelle has to be commended for integrating young players to the team.
The young players in question include Benjamin Fredrick, Jerome Akor, Chrisantus Uche and Olakunle Olusegun.
Former Flying Eagles defender Fredrick, for one, has gown in leaps and bounds since he made his Super Eagles debut in May against Jamaica in London.
He caught the eye in the final rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers as well as the World Cup Playoffs in Rabat, Morocco, last month.
It is expected that the coach will give more new players a chance at the 2025 AFCON, which starts later this month.
