The Flamingos will tomorrow night battle ruthless Italy for a place in the last eight of the 2025 U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
Kick-off of this Round of 16 tie in Rabat tomorrow will be 8pm.
Italy will be the favourites going into this clash after they won Group A by going past Brazil (4-3), Costa Rica (3-0) and hosts Morocco (3-1).
They also parade the leading scorer in the tournament, Giulia Galli, who has so far fired five goals.
Flamingos, on the other hand, got to the knockout rounds only as one of four third-placed teams.
They lost their opening two group games against Canada (4-1) and France (1-0) before they thrashed debutants Samao 4-0 to squeeze through.
Will they take this lifeline to reach the quarterfinal?
