A top coach (name withheld) is to be quizzed by police for forging a coaching certificate to lead a club in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), SCORENigeria can exclusively report
The coach it was gathered forged a CAF B coaching certificate so as to lead one of the promoted clubs in the top league this season.
“It’s a criminal offence and the case is before the NFF leadership, the coaches’ association as well as the police,” reported a source familiar with scandal.
“The very ambitious coach blatantly and criminally forged the certificate, claiming he bagged it in 2014, when in actual fact there was no such course in Nigeria then.”
“He does not even have a CAF C license.”
