Norway lead this U20 World Cup group game 1-0 against the Flying Eagles.
They have been well organised with Nigeria hardly troubling them back in their defence.
On eight minutes, Norway skipper Rasmus Holten sent goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt the wrong way from the penalty spot after Daniel Bameyi handled the ball inside the box.
This was after Norway requested for a review of the incident as stipulated in the rules of this U20 World Cup.
In the 32nd minute, Norway had a great chance to double their lead but somehow the striker failed to head into an empty net with the Nigerian goalkeeper well beaten by a cross from the right.
The Europeans were jolted by an early scare when Flying Eagles striker Kparobo Ariehi saw his shot rattle the crossbar.
Norway have quickly settled into this tie as the Flying Eagles have played mostly on the backfoot in this half.
The Nigerian lads will have to step up after the break if they hope to get a result from this contest.
Flying Eagles Starting XI (4-3-3) vs Norway: Harcourt – Odinaka, Ochiche, Bameyi (Captain), Akinyele – Daga, Ayuma, Salihu – Maigana, Kparobo, Achihi
