Today, Jerome Akor made a big case for his first-ever call-up to the Super Eagles when he came off the bench to snatch the winner for Sevilla at Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.

He fired home from inside the box with only three minutes left on the clock.
This was also his first La Liga goal since his arrival in January.
His recent fine run after he has battled injuries since coming from French club Montpellier could now be further rewarded with a call-up by the Super Eagles for 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin next month.
As first reported by SCORENigeria, Akor is one of three strikers being considered by coach Eric Chelle to replace Cyriel Dessers, who failed to impress earlier this month in another round of World Cup qualifiers.
