Going by the Super Eagles final training yesterday, coach Eric Chelle will still start Ademola Lookman in tonight’s all-important 2026 World Cup qualifier in South Africa.
A journalist, who covered Monday’s training of the team, informed SCORENigeria that Eric Chelle played the Atalanta forward as a starter during the work out.
Ademola Lookman lacked his usual sharpness in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Uyo with close observers of the team suggesting that he ought not to have started the game.
The 27-year-old forward has yet to play this season for his Italian club following a transfer standoff that eventually saw him stay put at Atalanta against his own wish.
