The Super Eagles will again start a double pivot of Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka against South Africa as they did against Rwanda in Uyo at the weekend.
Brentford defensive midfielder Onyeka was replaced at the start of the second half in the Rwanda match by Tolu Arokodare as Nigeria chased for a go-ahead goal.
Even with several new players, Bafana Bafana of South Africa were sleek in attack as they shot past Lesotho 3-0 in their World Cup tie last week.
“Ndidi and Onyeka will stablise the defence and after that, the coach may have to make an attacking change should the need arise,” a team official told SCORENigeria
“First, stay compact at the back and then see what happens thereafter.”
