George Ilenikhena, who has been tracked by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, is now on the radar of several top clubs like Villarreal, Fiorentina and Bayer Leverkusen.
Fiorentina are reportedly considering George Ilenikhena as an option to strengthen their squad, particularly following M’Bala Nzola’s transfer to Pisa.
The 18-year-old Nigerian striker, who is under contract with AS Monaco until June 2029, has caught the attention of various clubs due to his potential and goal-scoring prowess.
Despite his promising performance, highlighted by a notable goal against FC Barcelona in the Champions League, Ilenikhena faces significant competition at Monaco from players like Mika Biereth, Breel Embolo, and Folarin Balogun.
Fiorentina are reportedly viewing him as a potential addition alongside Moise Kean and Edin Dzeko.
However, AS Monaco are eager to retain Ilenikhena, making any prospective transfer difficult, as the club are currently unwilling to part with him.
Transfermarkt estimates the player’s current market value at €15 million.
