Financially troubled Sevilla are yet to register Nigerian strikers Jerome Akor and Kelechi Iheanacho for the new La Liga season following a regulation that drastically reduced how much salaries they can pay in the forthcoming campaign.
Sevilla have so far only managed to register 15 players for the new season as a result of this restriction.
The Southern Spain club are only allowed to pay their players, head coach and assistants €684,000 for the upcoming season, according to Sporza.
By comparison, Real Madrid have a salary cap of almost €755 million. Espanyol, the team with the second-lowest salary cap, are allowed to spend just under €8 million
The 15 players so far registered to play for Sevilla include Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke.
Sevilla are hoping they could also offload high earner Iheanacho partly due to this situation.
They play their opening game of the new season Sunday at Athletic Bilbao.
