The 2024 WAFCON has got off to a thrilling start after hosts Morocco pegged back Zambia to a thrilling 2-2 draw in the curtain raiser.
Zambia, who finished third three years ago, deserved to win, but the home team dug deep to get a result inside a packed arena.
Player of the Match Barbra Banda put Zambia in front within a minute, before Morocco drew level from the penalty spot on 12 minutes through Ibtissam Jraidi
The Copper Queens regained the lead when Banda set up Rachael Kundananji on 27 minutes.
The host nation then salvaged a precious point with a superb equalizer from outside the box by Ghizlane Chebbak three minutes from full time.
