Flying Eagles coach Aliyu Zubairu has hit back at suggestions players are imposed on him by saying he calls the shot as it concerns his team selection.
“I am not a baby coach,” the Flying Eagles coach maintained.
“No one has imposed a player on me, I choose my team.”
The coach also pleaded for more support for the team from the NFF.
“We want more support from the NFF, just like Oliver Twist,” said the coach, who led Nigeria to finish third at the recent U20 AFCON in Egypt.
Zubairu has quit his post as coach of NPFL club El Kanemi Warriors and he is now fully focused on the U20 World Cup in Chile in September.
He will lead the Flying Eagles to the WAFU U20 Championship next month.
