The NPFL Player of Week 33 is Ikorodu City striker Ayomide Cole.
The young striker came off the bench for the second straight game to notch a brace for home team Ikorodu City to extend their superb run in their debut season in the top league on the back of a 3-0 win over Niger Tornadoes.
Cole has now scored 10 goals and along with Shola Adelani (11 goals) they have contributed to almost half of the total number of goals the NPFL debutants have fired thus far.
Thanks to their fine form in front of goal, Ikorodu City are now very much in the mix for a continental ticket.
They are fourth in the standings on 52 points, a point behind third-placed Abia Warriors and just three points behind second-placed Rivers United.
The NPFL champions and runners-up will qualify for the CAF Champions League, while the third-placed team will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.
