Officials have told only SCORENigeria that the Super Eagles will take on perennial rivals Black Stars of Ghana in the latest instalment of the Jollof Derby in England during the June international break.
“The team will first play Russia in a friendly before they fly out to England to take on Ghana,” an official informed SCORENigeria
The Super Eagles beat their eternal rivals in a friendly when both teams last clashed in Morocco in March 2024.
Coach Eric Chelle will use the friendly against the Black Stars to prepare for World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa in September.
Nigeria are in danger of not qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, while Ghana lead their own qualifying group after they failed to qualify for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
