Former sports minister Solomon Dalung has promised to be a guest at the Human Rights Radio in Abuja to clear his name over allegations he was hugely compromised by top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) when he was in office.
Dalung, who is currently abroad, dismissed allegations that NFF officials bought him a house in Abuja and that they contributed to the cost of the funeral of his wife.
“I will come to the radio station to clear my name,” Dalung said on Human Rights Radio today.
“They said NFF bought me a house through my cousin and that they gave me money when my wife died.
“NFF never bought a house for me and when you lose someone, do you do a register to know who contributed money to you?”
It would be recalled that Dalung as minister initiated a petition to the EFCC against the NFF bosses.
Meanwhile, the persons who claim to represent a coalition of ethnic nationalities failed to show up at the Human Rights Radio today.
They had claimed they wish to mediate in the corruption allegations against NFF president Amaju Pinnick and several other senior officials.
“Those puppets only came to disgrace themselves. They were sponsored and it was shameful,” lamented a caller from the Philippines.
“While the men who are blowing the whistle on the corruption in the NFF are men of courage and they should be commended and encouraged.”
