The new foreign coach of the Super Eagles will lead the CHAN Eagles to next month’s 2024 CHAN in East Africa, according to the NFF president Ibrahim Gusau.
“We have come out with the policy that whoever we employ as the Super Eagles will also be the one to manage the affairs of the CHAN Eagles,” Gusau said in an interview.
“We want players from the domestic league to be injected into the Super Eagles.”
He said the CHAN Eagles will embark on an overseas training camp before the CHAN.
Gusau assured that “very, very soon” the new foreign coach for the Super Eagles will be appointed.
“The technical committee discussed this matter Thursday and we are waiting for their report. We will look at the recommendation of the committee as a board and make the necessary approval,” he further disclosed.
