As many as four clubs are locked in a fierce battle to sign young Nigerian defender Vince Osuji from Swedish club Kalmar FF.
Osuji, 18, could be the club’s most expensive sale as he is set to beat the fee of over 4 Million Euros the club received when they sold Ari Ferriera in 2007 to Dutch club AZ Alkmaar for over $4 Million.
Sportbladet now reports that all the clubs are in talks with Kalmar over the highly-promising central defender, who shone in his first season in Europe.
Among the clubs are Stade Reims, who are 11th in the French Ligue 1 standings after 16 rounds of matches.
Other clubs who have been linked with the player include Bayer Leverkusen, Strasbourg and Anderlecht.
