FCT Football Association (FA) chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed has been conferred with a chieftaincy title in recognition of his transformative administration of the game in the Federal Capital Territory.
In a letter to the FA chairman dated on December 30 and signed by Esu Bwari His Royal Highness Ibrahim Yaro, the title of Abegyi Bwaya (Progress of Bwari) has been conferred on him.
“The traditional title is in recognition of your good service record and hard work in the development and progress of Bwari Chiefdom and FCT in general,” the letter read in part.
It would be recalled that Mouktar Mohammed made it possible for the Presidency to locate an ultra-modern stadium complete with synthetic pitch in Bwari.
The Bwari Stadium has since hosted top national competitions including the President Federations Cup.
