German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim are close to signing Gift Orban, who has been unsettled since his transfer to Ligue 1 club Lyon a year ago.
Hoffenheim have reached an agreement with Lyon for the striker, according to Top Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano.
They are now discussing personal terms with the player.
Lyon will have to sell players to avoid running foul of financial regulation laws in France.
Gift Orban has failed to live up to top reckoning since his arrival from Belgian club Gent in January 2023.
He has only scored twice in five appearances after falling out with the Lyon coach.
