Flying Eagles top striker Arierhi Kparobo did not train with the rest of the squad in a final training ahead of tomorrow’s U20 AFCON qualifier against Cote d’Ivoire.
Team spokesman Sharif Abdallah disclosed Kparobo, 17, is nursing “minor blisters”.
The Beyond Limits centre-forward led the attack against Burkina Faso Friday.
He has been capped by the Golden Eaglets and shone at the recent Gothia Cup in Sweden.
His direct replacement is Charles Agada, who has also featured for the Golden Eaglets.
Tomorrow’s final Group B match will kick off 4pm Nigerian time at the Municipal Stadium in Lome, Togo.
The Flying Eagles need to win this game to stand any chance of advancing to the semifinal of the qualifying tournament for the 2025 U20 AFCON in South Africa.
