Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers could be on his way back to Serie A according to reports out of Italy.
Earlier in the close season, Dessers, who fired 21 goals for Scottish giants Rangers last season, was linked to champions of Greece PAOK.
However, the much-travelled striker insisted he was happy at Rangers despite a section of the fans being critical of his efficiency.
Dessers joined Rangers last season from US Cremonese after they were relegated from Serie A.
And now Tuttomercatoweb said Cagliari are looking seriously at the striker.
The Sardinians may lose their striker this summer with Lapadula and Dessers is in the picture to succeed him. But until Lapadula is effectively gone, they don’t seem to be going to be concrete.
It is also questionable whether Rangers will be prepared to cooperate in a departure.
Under coach Philippe Clement, Dessers is simply a regular and he also easily finds his way to the net.
Earlier this week he scored an important late goal in the Champions League preliminary round against Dynamo Kiev and on Saturday, he was also on target in the league match against Motherwell.
