Victor Osimhen has asked Napoli he wishes to quit the club this summer.
Napoli director Giovanni Manna confirmed: “Victor Osimhen has asked to leave the club. He wants to go.
“The situation is clear, there were already chances for his exit last summer… Victor wants to leave.
“We will see in the next 20 days”.
The Super Eagles striker was not listed for tonight’s Coppa Italia clash at home against Modena, which ended in a goalless draw before Napoli advanced to the next round of the cup competition 4-3 on penalties.
So far, possible destinations PSG and Chelsea have yet to provide the exit door that Osimhen has asked for.
PSG will not meet the release clause of 130 Million Euros for the player, while Chelsea will only sign him on loan, which both player and Napoli have refused.
It has also been reported that Saudi Arabian clubs are expected to table formal lucrative bids for him before the transfer window closes on August 31.
