Victor Osimhen will not feature in tomorrow’s Coppa Italia tie against Modena as it becomes increasingly clear his future will have to be away from Napoli.
Corriere dello Sport today gave a detailed report how Osimhen is continuing to follow an individual training plan at the Napoli Sports Centre as he waits for a move away this summer.
The newspaper reported he won’t take part in their Coppa Italia first round clash against Modena Saturday evening, having not taken part in any of their pre-season friendlies.
It has been a rather slow divorce between Osimhen and Napoli.
With limited options, the Nigerian striker is now waiting for PSG to revive their interest or a serious offer from Saudi Arabia.
In the meantime, Napoli are pushing ahead with signing Romelu Lukaku, the preferred striker of new coach Antonio Conte.
What is holding up Lukaku transfer to Napoli is the huge difference in valuation of the experienced striker by the two clubs.
Chelsea want 35 Million Euros plus Five Million Euros bonus and so far Napoli are willing to pay 25 Million Euros with a Five Million Euros bonus.
