Taiwo Awoniyi will not be part of Nottingham Forest pre-season tour of Spain.
Various reports said the striker has been excused from the tour, where the Premier League club will play three pre-season friendlies, for family reasons.
The Super Eagles striker netted six goals for Forest after he battled injury this past Premier League season.
His club will kick off the new season on August 17 at home against Bournemouth.
