NNL champions Beyond Limits FA will sell their NPFL spot to the highest bidders, according to various sources close to the owners of their sister club Remo Stars.
Beyond Limits won promotion to the NPFL after they topped the NNL playoffs.
It appears that Kunle Soname, who owns both Remo Stars and Beyond Limits, may have had a rethink after he initially announced that both teams will play in the NPFL next season.
A credible source told SCORENigeria: “Soname will most likely give up the NPFL slot won by Beyond Limits to the highest bidder.
“He is a man of means, but it will be a huge financial burden even for him to finance two clubs in the top league besides the fact that Remo Stars will also feature in the CAF Champions League.
“It will make a tidy piece of business for him to now sell the NPFL slot to their highest bidder.”
Relegated Heartland are widely speculated to be interested to buy the slot to remain in the top flight.
