The Golden Eaglets are set for their most chaotic preparations ever as they are yet to open camp ahead of next month’s U17 AFCON qualifiers in Ghana
The WAFU B qualifiers will kick off on May 15 and till date, the NFF have yet to announce a head coach for the team and when the team will open training camp.
Speculations are already rife that Manu Garba has been re-appointed to his former post but no official announcement has been made to that effect.
“The Golden Eaglets look doomed to fail,” a very concerned official told SCORENigeria
“There is not head coach for the team, no date when camp will open and added to this is the usual issue with the MRI age test.
“The team are no a race to be prepared for the tournament in Ghana.”
In 2022, Nduka Ugbade led the U17s to win the sub-regional qualifying tournament also in Ghana.
