The Super Eagles will not only come up against Lesotho and Zimbabwe as they begin their quest to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, they will also have to work within a tight schedule and travel many hours between these matches.
Super Eagles spokesman Babafemi Raji announced the team will have their first full training today in Uyo and it will be a tactical training, it will be done behind closed door.
The team will have a final training tomorrow also without media coverage before the match Thursday.
The team will then have recovery training Friday morning and jet out same day for Rwanda, which will be a four-hour flight, followed by a road trip to Huye from Kigali.
They will have only a training session on November 18 before they tackle Zimbabwe in a second World Cup qualifier the following day.
“It’s a tight schedule and we need full concentration. This is the World Cup,” Eagles spokesman Raji admitted.
“The target is to win all two matches.”
Nigeria are in a qualifying group that also has South Africa, Rwanda and Benin with the overall winners advancing automatically to the 2026 World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico.
