The question now is if Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro will give Jerome Akor his first call-up after he fired his seventh goal in Ligue 1 today.

Akor, 23, scored twice today for Montpellier to beat Toulouse 3-0 in a Derby and climb to 10th position on the Ligue 1 table.
He opened scoring for the home team on 13 minutes, when he controlled a long, searching ball from the midfield before he shot home.
He got his brace in the 72nd minute, when he reacted faster than to marker to slot beyond the goalkeeper.
He is now the second leading scorer in Ligue 1, only a goal shy of Kylian Mbappe.
Akor has already banged 15 goals in Norway this season before his summer transfer to France.
The former Flying Eagles striker has exclusively told SCORENigeria that he believes he will score loads of goals in the French top league that Peseiro will have no choice than to invite him to the national team in time for the AFCON next year.
Injury has ruled out Victor Osimhen from next month’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe and Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest has only returned to action after a groin injury that has kept him out for about a month now.
Please, we need Akor Adams ASAP, especially now that Osimhen and Moffi are out, injured. Victor Boniface and Adams Akor are the only two physically fit, inform top strikers Nigeria has at the moment. Gift Orban just started scoring goal after recovery, Taiwo Awoniyi is almost fully recovered. Sadiq Umar is badly off form to the extent that he has not scored any goal this season. Moffi & Osimhen are out injured. We have to cease this opportunity to tie down Adams Akor and Gift Orban, while Victor Boniface leads the attack.
Jerome Akor Adams should be considered with what he’s doing in ligue1 he deserves a call up
Must everyone play for super Eagles 🦅 at once? We’ve Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Taiwo Awoniyi, Sadiq Umar, Paul Onuachu, Ademola Lukman, Terem Moffi and many more that are in super Eagles and doing well for their respective club. What we need now are goalkeeper and good defenders.
