Super Eagles ace Zaidu Sanusi will likely return to action in early December after an injury layoff.
The 26-year-old left back suffered a muscular injury in September that has seen him miss crucial matches for both club and country.
He has missed FC Porto two UEFA Champions League group games and last featured for the Super Eagles in June versus Sierra Leone in Liberia.
A December comeback will also mean he will not feature in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe and will be in a race against time to make the final squad to the 2023 AFCON.
Jamilu Collins and Bruno Onyemaechi are now his direct rivals for the Super Eagles left back position.
