Genk sports director has admitted they have considered resigning Paul Onuachu but he could be too expensive for them.
In January, Genk sold Onuachu for 18 Million Euros to Southampton.
The relegated Premier League have since made it clear they won’t let go the giant striker until they recoup a substantial amount of their investment.
Gent sports director Dimitri De Conde spoke on the Onuachu situation.
“Paul is a player that we follow, but also not the only one,” he told Het Belang van Limburg.
“We should not be naive about it. That is not easy, but it is a very expensive file.
“So as a club we have to see that we make the right choice.
“The annoying thing is that the transfer mercato just takes way too long. Clubs in England are not active yet either, they prefer to wait until the end of August.”
