Samuel Chukwueze has revealed the main reason he opted for Italian giants AC Milan – coach Stefano Pioli.
There were serious interests for the 24-year-old winger before he chose to join for Milan.
The Milan coach convinced the Super Eagles star the Serie A giants will boost his career.
“He is a fantastic man. He explained the tactical plan, what he wants from me, why they want to sign me,” he told Football Italia
“If the coach had called me and didn’t have a project, I don’t think I would be here.
“He is a fantastic man, a great coach and motivated me. There are many new players and we need time to adapt, but with time I am sure we will win Serie A.”
Chukwueze said he wishes to win trophies and be part of the rich history of Milan.
“I want to make a name for myself and for Milan. I can’t come here and not win. My first priority is to win something, Scudetto, Champions League, Coppa Italia,” he said.
