Tolu Arokodare has said he hopes to score loads of goals in the new season for Genk after he only managed two last season.
The towering centre-forward opened his goals’ account in the new campaign with a goal in a UEFA Champions League qualifier at Servette last week.
“Last year I didn’t score that many, so I want to do ten times as well now. That’s the plan,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws.
The Lagos-born striker was a direct replacement for fellow Nigeria star Paul Onuachu in January and he is Genk only central striker even though the Belgian club have announced they are in the market to buy another one.
But Arokodare said he is worried his club want to sign another striker.
“If a new striker comes in, I have to fight to keep my place. If ten new strikers come in, I have to make sure I stay number one, it’s that simple,” he said.
