French Ligue 1 club Montpellier have joined the chase for the leading scorer in Norway, Jerome Akor.
L’Equipe reported that Akor will be the first striker Montpellier will go for when Stephy Mavididi moves to Leicester City and Elye Wahi most likely joins Chelsea.
The 23-year-old Akor has a contract with Lillestrom till December 2024.
The former Flying Eagles striker transfer fee is put at around Five Million Euros.
Union St.Gilloise are understood to be the Belgian club with the most concrete offer for the striker, who has scored 15 goals in as many league games this season.
He is a regarded as a direct replacement for fellow Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, who has transferred to Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.
