The coach of Belgian coach has predicted that the transfer of Gift Orban to a club in a top league will gather steam “in the coming weeks”.
Coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck is first to admit it will not be long before the Nigerian striker makes his way out of Gent.
Lille are understood to be pole position to sign the player, but there is also interest from Inter Milan, RC Lens and Galatasaray.
“The big clubs are now all aiming their arrows at the absolute top players. They are all fighting for the same players. But that can’t last, can it,” the Gent coach told HLN.
“In the end, such a top player signs his signature with one club and the others have to go to the next name on the list.
“And those are the guys like Orban. I expect that there will be a lot of movement around Gift in the coming weeks.”
Gift Orban is valued on Transfermarkt at 20 Million Euros and it is expected he will be sold for about that amount of money this summer.
