Paul Onuachu will have to take a cut on his 1.5 Million Euros-a-year salary at Southampton should he move to Germany, where Augsburg and VfB Stuttgart are the latest clubs keen to sign him.
The striker’s dream transfer to the Premier League did not go to plan after Southampton were relegated, he failed to score or make an assist and now he wants out from England.
Both Augsburg and Stuttgart are interested in the 29-year-old striker and have already opened talks, but the major stumbling block for them will be his salary.
Onuachu will have to take a pay to make this switch possible.
This comes at a time when it has been reported that his former Belgian club Genk are also closely monitoring his situation and resigning their record goal scorer cannot be discounted altogether.
