Top Norwegian football expert has predicted that Lillestrom could smash their transfer record with the sale of striker Jerome Akor to a club in a bigger league this summer for up to Nine Million Euros.
Akor, 23, has been on red-hot form for Lillestrom in the new season with seven goals in as many games in the Norwegian top league.
In January, the Oslo club set a new record for an outgoing transfer when they sold former Flying Eagles defender Igoh Ogbu for around Two Million Euros to Czech club Slavia Praha.
Lillestrom sporting director Simon Mesfin has already declared Akor will go for “a lot of money” after they signed him as a free agent last season.
And now according to TV 2 football expert Yaw Amankwah, the striker could cost as much as Nine Million Euros.
“It would be a terrible disappointment if he is sold for less than Five Million Euros,” Amankwah said.
“Why on earth shouldn’t he be sold for 8.5-9 Million Euros when Mvuka (Bodo/Glimt youngster) was sold for 7 Million Euros (to FC Lorient of France)?”
He added: “Adams is a fantastic footballer and a formidable striker, but he is not complete.
“He has a lot of things he needs to work on in order to be right up there with the hottest transfer targets in the Eliteserien.”
