The top two teams in each group along with four other third best losers will advance to the knockout rounds of the tournament.
Brazil have won the World Cup five times and have not lost to Nigeria in five meetings – three wins, two draws.
Italy were beaten semifinalists at the last two editions of this World Cup and beat the Flying Eagles 2-0 in 1987, while Dominican Republic are among the least ranked qualifiers.
Nigeria, twice beaten finalists of this competition in 1989 and 2005, finished third at the recent U20 AFCON in Egypt to qualify for this latest tournament.
The World Cup will be staged by Argentina between May 20 and June 11.
