Chisom Egbuchulam opted to sneak into South Korea despite interests from clubs in Europe and now he is living up to his scoring instincts writes IKENWA NNABUOGOR…
FC Suwon acquisition Chisom Egbuchulam will surely burst the top scorer’s charts after receiving the divine licence to score from God despite having to leave the grandeur of European football for the less illustrious Far East.
Such is the special gift the former Rangers’ front man possesses that it will stand the test of time barring any bad fate.
This innocent-looking youngster appears destined to reach the pinnacle of his career, will stop at nothing to achieve his goal scoring expectations.
Though not gifted in size, Egbuchulam makes up for this in his incredible goal sense, appreciable positioning and overall skills that have resulted in the regular fashion with which he sends goalkeepers to retrieve the ball from the back of the net, most times, effortlessly.

Confidently built, possessing amazing eye for goals, this highly-rated left-footed forward has the world on his feet to burst charts and leave an indelible mark.
He arrived at the unlikely destination, South Korea, after helping his side Swedish side Falkenburg win promotion to the Allsvensken (Swedish top flight), amidst interests from European clubs, Egbuchulam will always remain the man on a mission.
Surely, he has remained the kid for the scoring job and 14 games gone in the Korean second-tier football, the former Rangers’ ace is among the top net shakers, with his ninth of the season already.
It was vintage Egbuchulam as he glided past defenders after collecting the ball from a corner from his side racing all the way before smashing into the roof of the net from the tightest of angles. A sheer class!
Asian football is growing rapidly with the glamour, international recognition, cash attached to it, Egbuchulam will only add that to his experience and exposure as he is getting well grounded for the big kill in future.
What about financial security? A shot in Asian football will guarantee that and he may well return to Europe for the right fee. His Korean move is in the right order and he still has more years ahead of him.

His rise to where he currently is did not come easy; kickabouts in the streets of Enugu where he grew up in the New Layout area of the Coal City, opened an academy door for the talented youngster.
Enugu Rangers took his development from there and handed the kid the much-needed chance and by the time he hit Europe, he was armed with a league title and MVP award. He was indeed ready for the foreign adventure.
Swedish side BK Hacken were his first destination after leaving Nigeria, having arrived on loan, but it was a tough experience for Chisom, who returned no goal in 14 league appearances for the ambitious side.
Hacken were not patient with the rookie as their loss became the big gain for promotion-seeking Falkenbergs FF and just this current season, he’s taken his game higher just little less than two years he left the Nigerian shores.
Surely, Egbuchulam hasn’t yet started and the world will begin to take note of him sooner rather than later.
Smart money is on him to explode and a return to Europe with the bulging figures in the right club could be in the offing.
