It has now emerged that Kelechi Iheanacho was a transfer deadline Day target for another Premier League club, Leeds United.
Iheanacho has struggled for playing time at Leicester City as Jamie Vardy is the preferred striker with Zambia star Patson Daka now ahead of him in the pecking order.
His only start this season was the Carabao Cup against League 2 club Stockport City.
The Leeds owner identified Iheanacho as a target after Bamba Dieng from Olympique Marseille decided against a move to England, according to The Athletic
However, Leeds later found out that he is “unattainable”.
