Belgian club Sporting Charleroi have sent Valentine Ozornwafor on loan to Sochaux with an option for the French Ligue 2 side to buy him thereafter.
Charleroi bought the left-footed central defender from Turkish club Galatasaray, where he had failed to break into the first team.
The Belgian club announced the transfer, which they hope will see him play regular first-team football to help in his overall development.
Last season, the 23-year-old former youth international made 17 appearances for Charleroi on loan from Galatasaray.
Former Nigeria stars Brown Ideye, Wilson Oruma and Rabiu Afolabi have previously featured for Sochaux.
