Nigeria will be without several top stars including captain Ahmed Musa, Villarreal winger Samuel Chukweze and Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi for a friendly against Mexico in the United States of America this weekend.
Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, Abdullahi Shehu as well as midfielders Azubuike Okechukwu, Alhassan Yusuf and Samson Tijjani will also not feature in this friendly due to various reasons.
The NFF said a combination factors including visa hitches, injuries and club commitments caused the late withdrawals.
New coach Jose Peseiro has already made late changes to the squad on account of these withdrawals.
Terem Moffi and Innocent Bonke both from FC Lorient as well as Israel-based goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye have since joined up with the team in the USA.
Nigeria will take on Mexico Saturday in Arlington, Texas, before they face Ecuador on June 4, also in the US.
