Sadiq Umar has said it will be a dream come true to win promotion to La Liga this weekend.
His club UD Almeria are second in the standings with 80 points and will need to avoid defeat on the final day of the regular season Saturday at CD Leganes to gain automatic promotion to La Liga.
“I believe we will make it to LaLiga,” said the 25-year-old striker, who pulled out of the Super Eagles friendlies in the USA so as to play for his club.
“Playing in a top division like the one in Spain is a dream I want fulfill.
“We came very close last season but lost on the final day.
“I hope we have learnt from our mistake.”
Sadiq Umar has thus far scored 17 league goals this season, three goals shy of what he delivered last season.
