The rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana could be renewed in the qualifying series for the delayed 2022 CHAN after the draw for the competition was staged today.
Ghana will take on Benin in the first round of the qualifiers with the overall winners battling Nigeria for a place at the tournament proper in Algeria.
The qualifiers will begin in July with the playoffs a month later.
Recently, Ghana stopped Nigeria from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, while the Flying Eagles beat their Ghanaian counterparts 2-0 on their way to winning the WAFU B U20 AFCON trophy.
Super Eagles second assistant Salisu Yusuf is in charge of the CHAN Eagles.
