Samuel Chukwueze is in a race against time to be fit for tonight’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg clash against Bayern Munich.
Villarreal officials disclosed ‘Samu’ will be assessed prior to the Bayern game.
Chukwueze suffered a hamstring injury on international duty for the Super Eagles against Ghana in Kumasi.
The injury ruled him out for the 2022 World Cup playoffs return leg.
He has previously undergone surgery for a hamstring injury.
