Moses Simon has told SCORENigeria that the biggest gift on his 24th birthday will be victory of the Super Eagles against Algeria tomorrow night in Cairo.
Nigeria and Algeria will do battle to determine who goes to the final of the 2019 AFCON.
“We will give our best to come out victorious and make our country proud ,” the Levante winger told SCORENigeria
“It will also be a great birthday present to reach the AFCON final.”
Simon has made four appearances so far for the Super Eagles at the AFCON competition.
The winger has provided two assists in the match against Guinea and against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa which led to William Ekong snatching the goal that qualified Nigeria to the semifinal.
“I am very happy and proud about my performance so far in the tournament. I worked so hard to make the team and I am happy about the victories so far,” he said.
The Eagles celebrated his birthday at dinner Friday night with their rendition of a happy birthday song led by the co-ordinator of the Super Eagles, Patrick Pascal.
