English football is full of derbies that are played among teams from neighboring communities and cities. All of them are at the famous betting sites in Kenya – 1xbet.co.ke, where users can take advantage of the available betting odds.
One of the most even derbies in the country is known as the East Lancashire derby, which involves Blackburn Rovers and Burnley. The origins of this derby can be tracked as far as into 1875, which was the year when Blackburn was founded. In 1882, the Burnley squad also made their appearance. However, the latter was originally a rugby team. A few years later they decided to change sports and became the football club that is widely known today. There are other teams in the East Lancashire area, however, they are not considered part of the derby. Some examples are:
- Preston North End;
- Accrington Stanley;
- and Clitheroe Central.
Regardless if it’s in derby or simple match, the 1xBet Kenya betting sites in the country have all these famous events, where lots of wagering possibilities await.
First matches
The first time that both teams faced each other was on the 27th of September 1884. It took place at Turf Moor, which is Burnley’s stadium. Blackburn won the game 4-2. This was followed by many one-sided games where one of the teams tended to completely destroy its opposition. Football fans can make a bet on 1xBet live on these teams while following all details of their matches.
It should be noted that the 1920s can be considered as the golden decade of the derby. This is because during these years both teams were in the first division of English football for 11 consecutive years. This led to many encounters among both squads, and the results tended to be quite even. When spending time on 1xBet live, people can make a bet while taking advantage of the great experience that is provided by this platform.
Different realities
Since the 1980s, these teams have faced each other on a much less frequent basis. This is because both teams tended to be in different divisions at the same time. All divisions from English football are featured at https://1xbet.co.ke/line, which has many betting choices in all these tournaments.
Blackburn was a much more powerful team during this time. In fact, Blackburn Rovers were the champions of the 1994-95 season of the Premier League. This created a huge difference among both teams. However, in a more face to face record, both squads are quite even. At any moment, 1xBet is available for wagering on these two squads, in any kind of match where they participate.
