David Okereke has continued to impress in the Italian Serie A after a difficult last season with Belgian champions Club Brugge during which he was dubbed an “expensive flop”.
Club Brugge record signing Okereke at eight Million Euros fell out of favour at the Belgian team forcing his loan transfer back to Italy with promoted Venezia this season.
He has now scored twice and provided an assist for Venezia in five starts and has also been a sub thrice.
He opened his goals account in Italy with a wonder goal, which saw him go past several defenders against Empoli in September.
His second goal was at the weekend in a 3-1 loss to Sassuolo.
He has so far enjoyed 457 minutes of action.
The Italian club have an option to buy the 24-year-old forward at the end of the season and that is now a possibility.
